THE aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth will be seen sailing out of the Forth today (Thursday) after essential maintenance works at Rosyth.
The majestic ship went back to its birthplace to have 284 hull valves changed and its rudder blades removed and cleaned.
It is now heading back to Portsmouth.
The Queen Elizabeth is due to leave port at 11am, after some delay due to bad weather, and will be passing under the bridges shortly after before heading past the East Lothian coastline.
