Annie Carlisle

CARLISLE Annie (Nina) July 31, 1935 - March 5, 2024. Nina was born in Port Seton to John and Jessie Carlisle. She emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1958 where she attended university and spent her career at the University of Toronto. Nina was an avid hiker and cross-country skier. She dedicated a huge part of her life to the Bruce Trail Association, spending countless hours organizing hikes and other outings with the local chapter. She made life-long friendships with other club members, and her commitment to the club was recognized with the Nina Carlisle Award. Her adventurous spirit led her all over the world, from the Canadian Rockies to New Zealand's Milford Track and Norway's fjords and mountains. She was older sister to Robert, favourite auntie to Andrea and great-auntie to Liz. We will all miss her wonderful stories and generous heart. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to the Chalmers Memorial Church.
