John McCaul

McCAUL John (Pencaitland) Passed away at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Thursday 21st of September 2023. A loving husband to his beloved wife Isa, much loved dad to Elaine and Lynn, son-in-laws Alan and Graham and much loved grandchildren Callum, Cameron, Liam, Gavin and Catriona. A funeral service will take place at Seafield Crematorium on Thursday 5th October 2023 at 3pm, to which family and friends are welcome. Family flowers only please. Forever in our hearts. A collection in memory of John will be taken in aid of Dementia Scotland

I’m very saddened to hear this but, at the same time, heartened that he had such a long life. How many people must have been inspired by Jock over the decades? What a man, what a teacher and what a laugh he was. Tremendous character and no eager sufferer of fools. Rest in peace Jock McCaul. My best wishes to the family.
