Ian was the first person I ever interviewed and I never regretted my decision. He took great pleasure in trying to shock us and often succeeded. I remember one Christmas do when he proved to us that “Gaydar” is real.

One thing you could always say about Ian is that he was his true, genuine self. So caring for everyone, so approachable and so helpful.

So long, Iron Arse (anagram of Ian Roser) Hope you are now shocking whoever is wherever you have gone

What can I say about this truly amazing human we were so lucky to call a dear friend. His smile and outrageous choice of t shirts will stay with me forever. From the moment we met him we knew this was a true friendship. His love and utter devotion to Frank was apparent to all who knew him ,they were true soulmates and I know he is always around Frank giving him the strength to go on. My handsome Scottish Bear 🐻 Steve and I will miss you deeply and I will always cherish our great times together. Till we sail again my dear sweet Ian. ****

I met Ian in the Kings Arms in London in the 90s. I hadn't long come out and he soon became a steadfast friend whom I could both trust and have a laugh with. We was one of the most easygoing guys I had ever met. Wicked dense of humour, yet kind and generous. I can honestly say his presence helped me become the man I am today. We lost touch due to being in different cities but managed to speak again once I had "mastered" the wonders of fb. The world became a little darker and sadder with your passing. Goodnight sweet man.
