RITCHIE Peter (Musselburgh) Peacefully, on the 3rd of December 2021, at St Columba's Hospice, after a short illness. Dearly beloved husband to Agnes, father to Pete and Claire, father in-law to Neil, and devoted grandad to Nancy and Angus. Peter spent his career with Lothian & Borders Police. Please join us to celebrate Peter's life at Warriston Crematorium Lorimer Chapel at 11am on the 13th of December. Family flowers only please, but donations to St. Columba's Hospice are very welcome. Black attire is optional.

Remembered Peter as a young cop in Musselburgh. He would pop in my shop in Eskside looking for a cuppa tea when it was quiet. Love his books that are on a par with any written by Ian Rankin. Grace Macallam is equal to Rebus in every way. The literal world will miss Peter and Grace both. Ian Kay ex Kayvision Musselburgh.

My sincere condolences to the family. Peter was well respected by all who knew him . I bumped into him at the ‘ farm shop ‘ I’m so glad I did . He really was one of lifes gents . We never did get that catch up but will be remembered as one of the good guys .
