A PUBLIC meeting to discuss the future of Haddington Sheriff Court is being held at St Mary’s Parish Church in Haddington.
Local solicitor Angela Craig will be joined by MSP Iain Gray and East Lothian Council leader Willie Innes.
The building officially closes its doors on Saturday, meaning all court business will have to move along the A1 and into Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
However, Ms Craig is keen to see the court re-opened as a Summary Sheriff Court.
The meeting is being chaired by the Rev Jennifer Macrae and takes place from 7pm to 9pm.
