A 13-YEAR-OLD girl has been charged in connection with a fire which broke out in Musselburgh in the early hours of this morning.
One crew from the Musselburgh fire station raced to the scene after the alert was raised about a blaze in the Mar Grove area of town at about 1.12am.
A spokesperson for Fire Scotland said that, on arrival, the firefighters found an external bin store alight. They extinguished the fire and checked the site with a thermal image camera and small tools.

The crew left the scene at 2.18am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.05am on Tuesday, May 14, we received a report of a wilful fire at a bin shelter in the Mar Grove area of Musselburgh."
They added: "A 13-year-old girl was charged in connection with the incident."
