REPORTS of stones being thrown at trains have been passed on to police.
British Transport Police officers highlighted that stones had been thrown at trains near Wallyford Railway Station.
The incident, which took place on Sunday, was highlighted on social media.
At the same time, officers also highlighted reports of youths trespassing on the lines near Musselburgh on Monday.
The East Coast Mainline is used by trains travelling between Edinburgh and London.
Trains can reach speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “These reports are very concerning and dangerous.
“Stay off the lines and don’t throw stones at trains!”
