A HADDINGTON man will be sentenced next month after he breached a non-harassment order.
Bruce Farquhar, of Gowl’s Close, was placed under the strict conditions of the order when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on July 27, 2022.
But he went on to ignore the court order by attempting to approach the woman he was banned from contacting, doing so at Blawearie Road in Tranent on April 6 and 7 this year.
During the incidents, the 43-year-old was said to have repeatedly contacted the woman in a threatening manner.
Farquhar pleaded guilty to the offence during an appearance in the dock at the Capital court earlier this month.
He also had a not guilty plea accepted to a second allegation of uttering threats to the woman and to threatening to burn her house down. Sentence was deferred to next month for social work reports to be prepared and Farquhar was allowed bail.
