COUNTY star Josh Taylor paid tribute to fellow boxer Mike Towell, who died at the weekend.
Towell, from Dundee, died in hospital in Glasgow on Friday evening, 24 hours after he was knocked down twice during his fight with Welshman Dale Evans.
Taylor, who is preparing for his first professional title fight at Meadowbank Arena later this month, paid his respects.
On Friday evening, shortly after Towell's death was announced, he tweeted: "Just had a shocking phone call about Mike Towell!
"My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family at this terrible time."
Barry McGuigan, Taylor's manager, also tribute to the 25-year-old.
He said: "My deepest sympathies and prayers to the family of Dundee boxer MikeTowell, who passed away during the night.
"Very sad for all involved."
