A SECTION of the A1 remains closed between Dunbar and West Barns.
A vehicle fire took place on the eastbound section of the road between the Thistly Cross and the Spott Roundabouts.
The incident took place at about 3.20am this morning (Friday).
Traffic Scotland highlighted the incident at 6.15am and reported two hours later that the road remained closed.

The road reopened at 1.50pm, with one lane remaining closed.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.38am on Friday, July 21, to reports of a vehicle fire on the A1, near Dunbar.
"Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene, where firefighters were met by a fire which had taken hold of an HGV.
"Crews extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.
"There were no casualties."
