A FIRST glimpse of plans for an £8.8million extension to Ross High School will be revealed at a special viewing next week.
Parents and carers are invited to go along to the school to see drawings of the proposed extension, which is expected to get under way next summer.
Paul Reynolds, headteacher, announced plans to unveil the propsals on the school's social media channels.
He said that the school was due to increase pupil numbers in the coming years and the extension would ensure "we have the space and facilities to continue to deliver a high quality of learning and teaching".
East Lothian Council has set aside £8.83million to be spent between 2019 and 2021 extending Ross High.
It is part of a series of massive expansions for schools to help cope with the increase in population as developers continue to build more houses in the county.
Mr Reynolds will host a viewing of the drawing in the school's main hall on Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8pm and will be available for questions.
The evening is also open to parents and carers of primary school children in the Ross High cluster.
