A NEW murder mystery show is being filmed in East Lothian with cast and crew in the county all month.
The new BBC daytime drama Armchair Detectives has been described as an interactive whodunnit gameshow with players sent to the scene of a murder and challenged, along with viewers, to solve it.
On Friday the BBC crew was spotted filming scenes at Port Seton Harbour.
However they have also been filming around the coast at Gosford House, and St Joseph's School, Meadowmill.
The new show is based in the fictional town of Mortcliff which is being created by various locations around the county.
The BBC remained tight-lipped about the filming saying they did not want to "spoil the surprise" for viewers by commenting in advance.
However it is understood they will be filming until the start of September with a large crew of up to 55 and a cast of just under 20 actors.
In May this year the BBC revealed they were planning the new show which will challenge three players and the audience at home to solve a whodunnit.
The show is described as a a play along and immersive investigation that can be enjoyed every step of the way.
The crime will be crammed with titillating reveals and as the drama unfolds, more suspects and clues will come to light.
Dan McGolpin, BBC Controller Daytime and Programming, said he believed the new show would give viewers the chance to get involved on a new level.
He said: "We all love to escape into a good murder mystery story and Armchair Detectives is an innovative new series that will allow us to play along like never before, testing our powers of deduction against three talented studio contestants.”
The show is planned to be broadcast in daytime television with 20 episode commissioned. Its air date has still to be announced.
