YOUNG artist Jack Henderson has carded a whopping £13,000 in aid of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, thanks to the sale of seven of his drawings of famous British golfers – autographed by each of the sportsmen – at a charity auction.
Jack, aged eight and a former Cockenzie Primary School pupil, put pen to paper after a request from the charity for the artworks, bought by one mystery buyer during the Archerfield Sick Kids Invitational Pro-Am.
His drawings were signed by Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Darren Clarke, Nick Faldo, Lee Westwood, Sandy Lyle and Ian Woosnam, and the auction sale this month has taken his phenomenal ‘Jack Draws Anything’ tally to more than £64,500.
Jack now lives in California, where father Ed works, but that did not stop him from taking some time out of his holidays to do the new drawings for the Edinburgh hospital which treated his younger brother Noah.
